Record Your Screen Without Installing Software
"Capture your screen, window, or specific browser tab instantly with our private, browser-based recorder."

Instant Screen Recording
Need to record a bug report, a quick tutorial, or that gaming moment? You don't need heavy software like OBS for simple tasks. Web Screen Recorder uses your browser's built-in capabilities to capture high-quality video instantly.
Why Use This Tool?
- 100% Private: The recording happens entirely on your device. No video data is ever sent to our servers.
- No Installation: Works directly in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
- Flexible Capture: Choose to record your Entire Screen, a specific Window, or just a Browser Tab.
- System Audio: Option to capture system audio (great for recording calls or gameplay).
How to Use
- Click "Start Recording": This will trigger your browser's permission dialog.
- Select What to Share:
- Chrome Tab: Best for recording a single website.
- Window: Good for recording a specific app.
- Entire Screen: Captures everything (including taskbar).
- Confirm Audio: Check "Share system audio" in the popup if you need sound.
- Record: Do your thing! You'll see a "Recording Live" indicator.
- Stop & Download: Click "Stop Recording". A preview will appear roughly instantly. Click "Download Video" to save the
.webmfile.
Pro Tips
- Format: Videos are saved in
.webmformat, which is optimized for the web and compatible with VLC, YouTube, and Discord. - Muting: The preview video is muted by default so you don't hear an echo while recording, but your download will have sound!
